Everything You Need to Know About Booking, Pricing & Aftercare

Thank you for your interest in getting tattooed! This FAQ page covers all essential information. I’ll do my best to make you feel at ease and answer all your questions.

Booking Your Appointment

How do I book with you?

Follow these steps:

Include in your message:

  • A brief explanation of your project with references;
  • A photo of the area to be tattooed;
  • Desired size in centimeters;
  • Your availability.

Note: All this information is essential. I need it to provide a fee estimate and realize your tattoo.

Next, I will provide you with a calendar. I handle all bookings myself, so responses may take a few days. Once you select a slot, you are booked!

You will then pay a deposit to secure your appointment.

Finally, you come and get your tattoo!

I cannot fulfill every design request. However, I can recommend another artist if I am not the best fit. Check my gallery for examples of my work. A consultation is not always necessary.

Pricing Information

How much does it cost?

My minimum is 80€. I charge 400€ per session (approximately 5 hours) and 700€ for a full day session (approximately 7 hours).

This price includes rent, supplies, and tax. It also covers the time I spend drawing and communicating with you.

Remember: a tattoo is a lifetime investment. I cannot charge less than this.

If you have a budget, let me know! I can adjust the size and design to fit your needs.

Estimated completion times: arm sleeve ~15 hours, leg sleeve ~30 hours, back piece ~40 hours. Complex designs may require more time. These are rough estimates as several factors like your build, how well you sit during your sessions and the condition of your skin, affect duration.

Consultations & Deposits

Do you charge for consultations?

A: No. All consultations are free of charge.

Is a deposit required?

A: Yes. The deposit amount depends on your tattoo’s estimated price.

Deposits: €50 for tattoos up to €400 and 30% for tattoos €400+. You can pay in cash or with credit/debit card.

The deposit guarantees your appointment time. I dedicate creative effort to prepare your design. The deposit will be deducted from your final payment.

Deposit cancellation policy: No-show or late arrival (60+ minutes), cancellation with less than 48 hours notice, or drastic last-minute design changes will result in deposit loss. Health conditions must be reported 24 hours in advance.

Design Process

Will you show me the design before the appointment?

A: I do not send out designs before appointments. There are several reasons for this:

  • Prevents design theft;
  • In-person discussion is more effective;
  • Avoids negative influence from others’ opinions.

We can make changes during your appointment. I normally start sketches a week before, but timing varies.

Can I bring my own design?

A: Yes. You can discuss ideas at the shop or email drawings and details. However, do not bring someone else’s design.

You did this tattoo on someone. Can you do it on me too?

A: I try not to repeat designs often. However, for flash tattoos, I may repeat the design. For custom work, I generally will not. Common designs might be repeated with your permission.

What are “The Specials”?

A: The Specials are tattoos I design and will put on your body for a very low price. I do this because I really want to tattoo that particular piece!

Policies & Requirements

What if I want to cancel?

A: Please give advance notice if possible. If you cancel within 48 hours, I retain half your deposit. Within 24 hours, you lose the entire deposit.

If you requested a custom drawing and cancel after I have made it, I will ask you to pay 100€. I start working on designs about a week before appointments.

Should I tip?

A: If you are happy with your tattoo and want to, I always accept tips. I also appreciate you sharing photos on social media and recommending me to friends.

Do you share every tattoo you do on social media?

A: No. I only share a small fraction of my work. I do not tattoo for social media. If I do not post your tattoo, it does not mean it is not good. I always do my best work.

Safety & Aftercare

What are your safety practices?

A: We maintain cleanliness above industry standards. We stay updated on best practices through tattoo-specific seminars.

All needles are pre-sterilized and single-use. Tubes and grips are also single-use and sterilized. Inks come from EU-approved companies with Material Safety Data Sheets available.

How do I aftercare my new tattoo?

A: Aftercare is crucial for proper healing. Follow my guidelines to avoid scabbing, scarring, or pigment loss.

Aftercare is simple: follow a few easy steps. While my instructions are based on experience, I am not a medical professional. Consult a doctor for medical advice.

Let me know about allergies before your session. Contact me if you notice anything unusual during healing. Each artist has their own methods, so follow my instructions.

After each session, I will explain the process and provide a written guide.

Preparation & What to Bring

What do I need to do to prepare for my tattoo?

A: Get a good night’s sleep and eat a good meal beforehand. Avoid getting tattooed while sleep deprived, hungover, or hungry.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the tattoo area. Avoid skinny jeans for thigh tattoos. Ink may stain clothing.

What should I bring with me?

A: Bring a payment method (cash, credit/debit, or Bizum) and a valid ID. No exceptions.

Also bring items to keep you busy: laptops, books, etc. For long sessions, bring snacks. Local restaurants deliver, but quick snacks are helpful.

Do not bring children to the shop or leave them in the car. Get a babysitter for small children.

If you are sick, reschedule your appointment. Do not bring germs to my family.

Health Considerations

Are there any health conditions that may prevent me from being tattooed?

A: Conditions that may increase risks include:

  • Diabetes, hemophilia, or skin diseases;
  • Allergies to pigments, dyes, or sensitivities;
  • History of epilepsy, seizures, or fainting;
  • Use of blood-thinning medications;
  • Hepatitis or HIV infection.

Consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns about pre-existing conditions or medications.

How about pregnancy and breastfeeding?

A: Tattoos are permanent and not without risk. Local and systemic infections are the most prevalent risks.

Existing tattoos do not affect breastfeeding. Ink migration to breast milk is nearly impossible. However, allergic reactions can occur.

Most professionals will not tattoo breastfeeding mothers. The body needs time to heal, which is harder while producing milk. This also reduces infection risk to the baby.

Tattoo Aging & Touch-ups

Does my tattoo need a touch up?

A: Less subject matter at larger sizes creates successful tattoos. Bold, readable designs age best.

Aging causes blurring and color fading. Small elements or tight details become muddy over time.

To keep tattoos looking great, use fewer small elements strategically. All tattoos age, but sun exposure, busy designs, and pastel colors show aging faster.

All tattoos can be refreshed after 10-15 years. Tattoos needing earlier maintenance include those with heavy sun exposure, busy designs, or light pastel colors.
